Chapter 1: Island of Rakolt'i

In the middle of the ocean was
a small island called Rakolt'i. This island had been kept secret forever.
For on this place lived the mighty Doucorns. Duoocrns were large creatures
with. They resembled dragons but had beaks and two great horns on their
heads and a round, spiked bone on the end of their tails. Despite their
large size they were very light. A 100 foot duocorn was usually only 200
pounds at most. Tese great beasts were also very intellegent.
Duocorns had ruled this island for several millenia in peace with humans. But one man had wanted to rule over the people and revolted against the rule. Slowly he gathered an army t odetroy the duocorns and created a war. During the battle the duocorns used their most powerful magic to split the island in two. This caused the advancind army t ofall into the chasm, and to their deaths. But this did not stop the crazed man, he still wiped out the entire race and proclaimed himself king.
But one man had escaped being killed. But unfortunately the evil man, now the king, had ways of finding him. The kings name was St'skelkin

3 years later the man who had escaped had beacome a farmer and was now a father. His son, like all of his ancestors of 11 generations had been named Duocorn XI. But so he wouldn’t be given away by the name, he was called, Jared. Since he was part duocorn, he had two small horns and retractable claws. Two years later there was another son named Duocorn XII. But for some reason there were no horns or claws at all. Several years later he changed his name to Narcus.
They were a happy family. But when Duocorn XI was 6 and was playing in the fields with his brother the kings assasin killed his parents. The boys went to live with their uncle who trained them with fighting skills so they could avenge their parents.
When Duocorn XI turned 17 he became a man and received his first armor and sword. He waited two more years until Narcus became a man and they went off to kill the king. But they didn’t even get past the guards.
They ran from the palace and stole supplies for a ship. The ytold their uncle where they were going and set sail for another place to live. While they were out at sea a huge storm hit and the y lashed themselves to each other so they wouldn’t get separated. They awoke on the shores of Lore, not knowing what would happe next.
